Pristinely Preserved Industrial Design

The Wool Factory rests in a beautifully restored 19th century textile mill surrounded by lush greenery and a soothing creek. Clean lines and aesthetically pleasing exposed brick add an ideal touch of history blended with posh modern day amenities. This unique Charlottesville venue offers more than 6,000 square feet of space and maintains its original industrial bones.

No two weddings are the same at The Wool Factory, where indoor and outdoor spaces offer a blank canvas and built-in historic character and minimalist design allow limitless potential. Install up-lighting and an elevated stage for a concert hall theme. Hang light constellations and tree swings in the reception hall for romantic countryside vibes. Outfit the property’s walnut farm tables in rich seasonal floral installations, playing up natural lighting and lush views.

“We offer a hyper-industrial feel with a touch of nature. It’s not your typical Charlottesville setting,” says Wool Factory Event Sales Manager Mitchell Ford. The reinvented Historic Woolen Mills property flows from the intimate multi-level Workshop and Broadcloth private dining spaces to an airy main event hall and out onto the spacious courtyard strung in festive bistro lighting. A dedicated dressing loft is prime for pre-ceremony primping.

The perfect blend of urban refinement and soothing nature, guests enjoy exploring the onsite microbrewery, craft coffee and wine offerings and peaceful outdoor gathering spaces. Celebrated executive chef Tucker Yoder and executive pastry chef Rachel DeJong offer in-house catering and desserts for smaller scale to grandiose weddings. The culinary team focuses on peak-season local ingredients while working closely with you to design an unforgettable menu.
