The Gala 417
Modern Waterfront Opulence
Gala 417 founders Amberly and Coleman Ferguson have shaped an all-inclusive wedding venue experience covering all of the bases. Their goal to simplify the wedding industry by creating a beautiful, elegant, modern and incredibly luxurious wedding venue comes together in Gala 417's huge open floor plan, striking white marble and crystal chandeliers all set on a waterfront landscape.

The team makes the wedding planning process easy and fun and includes a planning assistant, a day-of coordinator and a closing night-of coordinator along with all tables, chairs, linens, catering place settings, glassware, a feature wall, ceremony arches and much more. A complimentary bridal suite features high ceilings, a chandelier, three Hollywood vanities, a dress wall for easy steaming, storage and photos, a champagne station, full-length mirror and extra seating.
Couples orchestrate their dream day around the lavish indoor reception space, a sunset deck for cocktail hour and late-night gathering and a marble cocktail lounge. Wedding photos stun from the boating pier and welcome foyer. The 3,000-square-foot ballroom features nine sparkling crystal chandeliers, eight extra tall resort-side windows, six terrace-side windows, four sets of mirrored French Doors and French-paned double doors leading to the terrace. Wow guests with a special customized menu created with the talented onsite catering team.
The Location
Setting
This waterfront wedding venue is perched along the Long Bay Pointe Boating Resort near First Landing State Park and Beach.
Things To Do
Lovingly dubbed Hampton Roads, Virginia’s Tidewater region invites oceanfront energy and a diverse patchwork of arts, cuisine and traditions. Serving as the birthplace of English America with the establishment of Jamestown in 1607, Tidewater is home to historic jewels like Colonial Williamsburg and Historic Jamestowne. The largest naval base in the world resides here and the extensive Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean coastline casts a soft sandy ribbon of scenic waterfronts and active beaches, attracting millions of visitors each year. Boating and fishing are the draw on the Chesapeake Bay while hiking and birdwatching keeps coastal marshlands and state parks buzzing. Beachgoers seeking respite from sunbathing and swimming head to the iconic three-mile Virginia Beach boardwalk for retail, regional seafood specialties and four summer oceanfront live music stages.
