Oatlands Historic House & Garden
Preserved Perfection
This former wheat plantation, grist, saw mill, boarding house and girls school has been preserved to pristine perfection and is now operated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The sprawling grounds and historic structures remain on the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark and provide a once-in-a-lifetime wedding and celebration venue.
With manicured gardens, ample parking and endless acreage, Oatlands Historic House and Gardens offers a variety of picturesque locations for your event or ceremony and reception. Stone accents, richly hued American chestnut and timeless style make the property's Carriage House the center for elegant rehearsal dinners and receptions. Shining with Pennsylvania blue stone floors and stunning lighting and perfect for smaller reception dinners and cocktail hours, the Greenhouse is believed to be the second oldest standing greenhouse in the U.S.
The large outdoor Tent Pavillion can host up to 300 guests and provides a grand celebration space ready to be dressed in your color palette and theme. The charming 4.5-acre outdoor gardens and 28 buildings spanning the 19th and 20th centuries make for creative and unforgettable wedding photography while three renovated historic Airbnbs, including the historic Hamlet Inn and cozy Storybook Stone Cottage, offer unique overnight lodging.
