Mayhurst Inn
A Luxurious Virginian Estate
Wrapped in warmth and hospitality, the Mayhurst Inn is an 1859 plantation manor house cloaked in beautiful outdoor settings. The four-story, 9,200-square-foot Italianate Victorian home sits on 37 acres with manicured lawns, gorgeous gardens, dozens of huge ash, poplar, oak, pine and magnolia trees, (many over 200 years old), boxwood hedges and a tranquil pond.
Ceremony locations span an elegant front porch, main entry walk, a lush boxwood hedge arch, the main parlor and beneath a peaceful waterfront ash tree. Receptions flow into the gracious Virginia bed and breakfast's dining room or patio and out onto multiple lawn areas. The home offers eight unique guest rooms, a grand staircase that wraps around five floors and beautiful suites for overnight stays.
The full “Old World Estate Experience” reveals striking architecture and genuine Southern hospitality, including a gourmet three-course breakfast for all overnight guests. Newlyweds settle into the luxurious Italian Suite with champagne, a Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and private balcony.
