Kellam Estate
A Woodland Fairytale
The historic home and estate of the Kellam family is now available for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, weddings and farewell brunch events. The Virginia Beach venue is situated on six acres near the old Princess Anne Courthouse and features numerous outdoor and tented options alongside a stable and barn for indoor reception space.
Parts of the home were originally built in the early 1700s, with additions made since the Kellam family purchased the estate in the 1890s. The rich, lush landscape is accentuated by ancient trees, rolling lawns and a dense hedgerow wrapping the perimeter. Period structures remain across the property and include a small red barn, stables, a gas house, smoke house and a schoolhouse.
Couples are invited to customize their personal experience, designing outdoor spaces to host celebrations of up to 350 guests. Thoughtful wedding packages include full-day access to the grounds, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces, round dining tables, cocktail tables, rustic sweetheart table and a wine barrel bar.

Things To Do
Lovingly dubbed Hampton Roads, Virginia’s Tidewater region invites oceanfront energy and a diverse patchwork of arts, cuisine and traditions. Serving as the birthplace of English America with the establishment of Jamestown in 1607, Tidewater is home to historic jewels like Colonial Williamsburg and Historic Jamestowne. The largest naval base in the world resides here and the extensive Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean coastline casts a soft sandy ribbon of scenic waterfronts and active beaches, attracting millions of visitors each year. Boating and fishing are the draw on the Chesapeake Bay while hiking and birdwatching keeps coastal marshlands and state parks buzzing. Beachgoers seeking respite from sunbathing and swimming head to the iconic three-mile Virginia Beach boardwalk for retail, regional seafood specialties and four summer oceanfront live music stages.
