Everett Estate
Bold Boutique Inn Elegance
Everett Estate is for the free-spirited bride who jumps into the fountain in her dress. For the couple who appreciates mindfully woven aesthetic detail and design. For the families who want to savor every drop, spending the weekend together and connecting deeply.
“This is a destination, the place you rent for two or three nights,” says Everett Estate Partner and General Manager Becky Seager. “You bring your favorite people and you have a multi-night celebration with the people you love the most. The party keeps going. There’s no stuffiness. No clean-up-and-go sadness.”
With a strong focus on being together and an easy-flowing approach, Everett Estate is carving a niche as home base for couples seeking an extraordinary boutique inn experience. The former Mark Addy Inn features a rejuvenated design that pays respect to a bygone era while reflecting modern sensibilities through vibrant guest rooms, elegant common areas and gorgeously revitalized grounds.
A team of local partners purchased the estate in 2022, naming it for its original owner, Dr. Charles Everett. (He and Thomas Jefferson would frequent the stately grounds to sport hunt.) Today, the owners are breathing new life into the property, cultivating an intimate inn feel and inviting couples to book an entire Thursday through Sunday weekend with exclusive access to the estate or a single-night celebration.
Personalized wedding packages cover everything from onsite suite lodging for up to 30 guests and a top-floor honeymoon stay to catering kitchen use and assistance orchestrating wedding party day trips. Neutral design templates allow couples to inject their own colors, florals and personality while artful touches such as French floral wallpaper pull in the magic of Blue Ridge Mountain landscapes in a swath of blues, vibrant greens and chartreuse. Each of the estate’s rooms has its own theme with consistent motifs running throughout the property — if you pay close attention, you’ll notice the butterflies in the dark purple parlor, a butterfly Scrabble board and scattered butterfly images noting a sense of rebirth and transformation.
“If someone is super observant, with discerning tastes, they’ll be able to spot these design choices,” Seager says. “There are so many Instagrammable opportunities. The backdrops are already built in.”
Couples curate celebrations around striking mountain backdrops and abundant natural lighting. Ceremonies take place by the centerpiece fountain. Sunset cocktail hours overlook the mountains from the front porch. Reception tents soar on the flat flagstone patio. Friends and family are encouraged to arrive early and stay later, taking advantage of Everett Estate’s proximity to some of the area’s legendary hikes and top vineyards and breweries.
The expert event team invites couples to go beyond a basic site walk-through and to stay on-property for a weekend, conceptualizing and day dreaming in person.
