Adison & Brendan
Timeless Wine Country Allure and Precision at Pippin Hill
Adison and Brendan’s August Charlottesville wedding at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards stunned in luscious white and blue blooms by the esteemed floral design team from Steelcut Flower Co. The legendary coveted venue shone with afternoon summer light, wowing guests with classic polished hospitality and breathtaking ceremony and reception spaces.
Planners from Donovan-Groves Events curated a memorable day, guiding friends and family down the manicured ceremony lawn past woven baskets brimming with cornflower blue and ivory blooms. Guests brought in breeze with woven hand fans as the couple shared sunset vows backed by sweeping vineyard views and mountain silhouettes. Bridesmaids wore a mix of summery floral and stylish blue dresses. Groomsmen stood stoically in classic black tie three-piece suits and the bride’s strapless white gown and streaming veil added to the picture perfect fairytale scene.
Charlottesville wedding photographer Erin Wilson captured incredible aerial images of the couple walking the tunneled hydrangea path, strolling in golden hour meadows and viewing their gorgeous reception space for the first time. A sun-drenched wedding party photo shoot unfolded between the hydrangeas and under cool shade trees while a jubilant cocktail hour of Pippin Hill wines and signature drinks took place on the covered stone Tuscan veranda under elegant canvas sunshades.
Dressed in decor by MS Events and Happily Ever After Events, the grand reception kicked off in The Granary with the couple receiving cheers from the second-story balcony and entering the party through plush ivory sound-control drapery. The band played as the newlyweds shared a choreographed first dance under glowing chandeliers dripping in florals and greenery. Full flowing waterfalls of blue and ivory flowers punctuated long wood farm tables as the talented Pippin Hill catering team delivered an ocean- and farm-plucked meal of roasted oysters, strawberry salads and gulf shrimp. Late-night break dancing and limbo fuel appeared in gooey gourmet grilled cheese, sliders, French fries, donut holes and cool ice cream sandwiches.
