Bernadette & Michael
Spring Lavender and Lilac Glow at Veritas Vineyard
Bernadette and Michael’s March wedding at Veritas Vineyard hinted at spring’s dawning with soft subtle shades of lavender and lilac set against early season grapevine rows and misty mountainside backdrops. The bride’s intricate lace long-sleeve wedding dress and cascading traditional veil, the groom’s tasteful classic black tux and deep emerald floor-length bridesmaids’ gowns brought graceful elegance to the cool sunny spring day.
Charlottesville wedding planners with Lane Stewart Events executed thoughtful personal dashes in the couple’s signature cocktail, the German Greyhound, presented with an image of their pup and antique window frame family photos. A string quartet guided guests and the wedding party down the manicured ceremony lawn showcasing tranquil panoramic vineyard views. Cocktail hour moved into the welcoming tasting room where the exclusive in-house catering team ushered in fresh regional ingredients through passed hors d’oeuvres of apple glazed Virginia ham biscuits, hush puppies and artisan spoon bites paired with celebrated Veritas wines.
Meredith Sledge Photography stopped time with a beautiful blend of black and white imagery and iconic light, airy film captures. Her lens caught the groom’s tears as his bride arrived, arm in arm with her father in full Marine formal blues; a touching tearful ceremony of laughs and cheers and endless love from family and friends.
Flower artists from Blue Ridge Floral Design set a fresh romantic spring tone with locally grown blooms in tender ivory and sweet lilac and MS Events curated a glowing Saddleback Hall grand ballroom reception in luxurious golden back-lit draping, brass champagne flutes and creamy bronze-tinted and lavender linens.
A magnificent five-tier multi-colored monogrammed wedding cake perched on a wine barrel and enveloped in a sweeping floral installation stole the show while a late-night burger bar and fries in adorable individual fast food boxes and wild glow stick dance floor backflips kept the party going.
