Spring Fuchsia and Waterfront Elegance at Lowndes Grove

Morgan and Mike’s May wedding at Lowndes Grove radiated in the most brilliant medley of springtime pink. Set against the iconic Charleston venue’s dramatic swaying live oak groves and serene Ashley River, guests wore chic floral print and pink dresses and pant suits, accentuating the wedding party’s rich emerald and steel gray palette. Striking floral design touched every corner of the day as Fresh Weddings & Events designed prominent vibrant bouquets and elaborate elevated table centerpieces in soft pink, gentle ivory and vivacious fuchsia.

Charleston wedding planners from Elevents + Co. ushered guests to the historic waterfront site by trolley. The expert event designers incorporated thoughtful touches in intricate inscribed hand fans, a Polaroid guest book and an artistic rendition of the couples’ pets on cocktail napkins. Coveted wedding photographer Dana Cubbage caught every intentional detail, from the mother of the bride’s clutch with a photo of herself and her baby girl sewn into the fabric, to a tearful private first look between the bride and groom.

Guests beamed as the bride’s parents walked her arm in arm out of the main house French doors and down the ceremony lawn where her groom waited under the grand oak grove’s timeless Lowcountry embrace. Cocktail hour unfolded over champagne and espresso martinis with gourmet butlered hors d’oeuvres on the waterfront piazza before moving into the glass-enclosed portico reception space. Charleston wedding rentals and décor by Snyder and Lowcountry Entertainment sparkled in jeweled chandeliers, crisp white linens, and woven rattan and sterling silver table settings. The in-house catering team from Patrick Properties Hospitality Group wowed with a regionally sourced feast and a decadent French macaroon display while the A-Town A-List brought all generations to the dance floor.
