Mitchell & Mikaela
Spring Blooms and Spanish Moss at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
Mitchell and Mikaela’s May Magnolia Plantation and Gardens wedding dripped in Southern charm and fairytale touches. Wrapped in joyous sunlight, the couple shared vows under dramatic centuries-old live oaks painted in Spanish moss and hugged by an idyllic lush emerald landscape. Seeds of Love Planning orchestrated the stunning late spring soiree, fully applying the iconic venue’s striking backdrops and hospitable amenities.
Charleston floral designers from Festoon Charleston curated fresh garden-inspired spring bouquets and floral installations popping in shades of blue, pink, apricot and violet. Family and friends tossed pink and ivory petals as the newlyweds exited the ceremony and a brass stand of petite glass vases containing loose blush and pink blooms escorted guests to their tables.
Laura & Rachel Photography staged nuzzled newlywed shots on the enchanting white bridge, gorgeous wedding party portraits bordered by endless green trees and elegant white columns, a sunny poolside bridal party shoot and a unique tender first touch moment. Abundant sunlight and vibrant azaleas, wisteria, hydrangea, magnolias and camellia accentuated the bride’s simple pearls and bridesmaids’ sweet Southern pink and white floral print dresses.
Snyder Events set an angelic outdoor reception in pristine white, ivory and gold and Salthouse Catering built a decadent dessert bar of macaroons, parfaits, cupcakes and canolis alongside a floral-textured cake. Guests took home keepsake embellished oyster shells and gathered for al fresco dinner and drinks on the lawn while a plein air artist carefully captured the scene.
