Stephanie & Ryan
Singing a Summery Tune at Silver Fox Lavender Farm
Stephanie and Ryan’s May wedding at Silver Fox Lavender Farm charmed with musical touches and big beautiful blooms. Charlottesville wedding planners with Rockfish Valley Events by Design grasped every opportunity to tell the beaming couple’s story through a vinyl record guest book, a guitar case repurposed into a card box, musical note cookies and live music by the ceremony officiant.
The beloved Charlottesville wedding venue radiated in rich, deep shades of late spring green. Sachets of freshly dried lavender from nearby fragrant lavender fields welcomed guests to dinner tables and the bride carried a free-flowing hand-plucked wildflower bouquet, perfectly accentuating her natural beauty. Vows were shared in a casual waterside ceremony backdropped by the Blue Ridge Mountains, May rain clouds clinging to the peaks.
Photographers with Ariana Ross Photography welcomed the amicable countryside energy, snapping imagery of the couple crying and laughing during their ceremony on the wood plank dock, holding hands while strolling the farm’s sweet rows of lavender and sharing a moment during a loving first look inside enchanting tunnels of towering trees.
Silver Fox Lavender Farm’s magical poplar and eastern white pine barn set a polished rustic aesthetic for the lively evening reception. Guests savored elaborate charcuterie, fruit and cheese displays, bruschetta, homemade cookies and other delectable bites among the barn’s iron chandeliers, stone fireplace, hand-built tables and thoughtful antiques. Crisp white and soft moss green linens, classic stemware and sterling flatware by MS Events added to the simple country vibe.
