Modern Romance at the Gibbes Museum of Art
June was a beautiful time of year for Mineka and Dom's elegant Charleston wedding at the Gibbes Museum of Art. The historic charm of the museum’s neoclassical architecture and lush surrounding greenery set the stage for a vibrant, joy-filled celebration.
Guests were welcomed by the grand entrance and neoclassical columns of the museum. The bridal party, in mint green bridesmaid dresses and the bride's ornate white gown, made a striking contrast against the museum’s pale facade.
Inside, the couple’s color palette of mint, white, and gold was brought to life by Petaloso’s lush floral arrangements. Cascading bouquets of white roses, peonies, and greenery adorned the tables, complemented by shimmering gold details and soft candlelight. Duvall Catering & Events delighted guests with a menu of Lowcountry-inspired dishes that had everyone raving about the delectable cuisine.
Throughout the evening, the newlyweds and their wedding party celebrated with infectious energy and joy on the dance floor. As sparklers illuminated the Charleston sky, Mineka and Dom shared a romantic moment, toasting to their future together. With thoughtful design by YOJ Events and the support of Snyder Events for rentals, this elegant wedding was a true reflection of Mineka and Dom’s personal style and the vibrant Charleston spirit.
