June Coastal Country Club Bliss at Ocean Course

Amelia and Harrison’s late spring Charleston wedding welcomed serene Lowcountry flora and fauna with pristine seaside country club panache. The June celebration at Ocean Course at Kiawah brought family and friends together over idyllic indoor and outdoor island settings and legendary Southern hospitality. Charleston wedding planners with Boutique Planning wove native wildflowers, egrets, herons and other charming coastal icons throughout delicate watercolor invitations and escort cards.

Photographer Dana Cubbage orchestrated a soft, sweet sweeping first look on the impeccable golf course grounds overlooking a sea-meets-sky horizon and tender newlywed embraces on the charismatic resort’s wood-planked porches. The bride’s cream backless gown and groom’s classic white suit jacket popped against wild grasses and private sandy pathways.

Thanks to talented floral designers with Flora, the bride’s bountiful bouquet sang in pink, orange, canary and baby blue summery hues. The overflowing blooms and beauty rolled into lush natural ceremony alter and reception décor elevated by Event Works and Stradley Davidson. The stunningly simple golf course ceremony was followed by an al fresco cocktail hour overlooking the wide immaculate landscape and a timeless traditional clubhouse reception dashed with celebratory cigars, bocce ball and dancing. The Kiawah catering team built a locally sourced three-course feast of asparagus-tomato-chevré bites, herb butter chicken, shrimp and grits and wild mushroom croquettes followed by almond wedding cake with berry mousse filling.
