Grand October Romance at The Governor Thomas Bennett House

Hannah and Nick’s early October Charleston wedding brought together a delicate palette of rosy blush, shimmering gold and crisp white florals contrasted against chic black wedding party attire and historic refinement at The Governor Thomas Bennett House.

Charleston wedding photographer Kailee Dimeglio captured the essence of the day across artful film and digital imagery. Her expert lens caught family sharing laughs and tears followed by cheers and pure love for the couple. Emotions were forever encapsulated as the couple shared private pre-ceremony vows and a touching street side first look framed by the property’s grand oaks and magnificent white fencing while friends and family looked on from the home’s second-story terrace.

Planners with Pure Luxe Bride arranged the Crescent Garden ceremony wrapped in endless verdant autumn trees and plants while brilliant white and ivory blooms by Petaloso climbed and circled the brick courtyard’s stone pineapple fountain.

The newlyweds slipped away for a vintage getaway vehicle photo shoot while guests mingled on the spacious piazza for cocktail hour. Event Works and Curated Events dressed the fairytale reception scene with golden seating, hanging floral installations and petite chandeliers, velvet dusty rose sofas and autumnal linens all cloaked in blooms whispering in the lightest shade of pink intertwined with intricate baby’s breath.

A towering four-tier white pearled wedding cake and a DIY al fresco photo station delighted guests while Salthouse Catering prepared a signature cocktail hour paloma named for the couple’s dog Rosie served on napkins embossed with the pup’s smiling face. Gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres and a multi-course feast flowed into an all-generations dance party followed by a private last dance for the couple before their glowing send off.
