Flourishing August Farm Beauty at Wollam Gardens
Maja and Chandler’s Charlottesville wedding at Wollam Gardens emanated late-summer bucolic beauty. The relaxed picturesque wedding venue ushered guests into its breathtaking flower farm, welcoming 18th-century farmhouse and artist-crafted open-air pavilion set on 11 secluded acres.
Charlottesville wedding photographers with Mary Bell Photography produced timeless, romantic and natural imagery in intimate candids and delicately orchestrated family and wedding party shots. Artfully playing with light and shadow, Mary Bell captured tender pearls and curls getting ready moments, the bride in her vintage lace veil, and her mother arranging their dresses in the sweetly appointed farmhouse bedroom. Bridesmaids shone in silky, feathery shades of sandy rose and the bride captivated as she descended the historic home’s staircase, holding an elaborate head-turning bouquet by the Wollam Gardens Floral Design team.
Expert florists built out flourishing August arrangements with hand-cut florals sourced from the cut-flower farm’s seasonal blooms. A sunny first look was tucked into a fragrant alley of blooming hydrangea, where photographers captured stolen kisses and tender whispers among the farm’s private pathways and deep trees. A shaded late-summer ceremony took place on the expansive side field, a custom archway draped in vibrant garden flowers and natural greenery, while the farm’s cat roamed freely and guests blew celebratory bubbles into the sweet summer air. White and green linens, abundant flowers and gold detailing graced the glorious timber pavilion where cocktails, farm salads and wood-fired pizzas fueled guests for a night of dancing.
