Becca & Josh
Citrus and Vintage Blue Meet Garden Chic at the William Aiken House
Rebecca and Josh’s summer soiree was steeped in Southern charm and vintage detail. A string duet brought the couple down a lush green aisle where they exchanged vows in front of the iconic William Aiken House’s elegant reflection pool and under a grand white pergola dripping in verdant vines. The groom’s white tuxedo jacket and bride’s ruffled off-the-shoulder ball gown with green vine detailing and traditional veil conjured timeless Charleston romance.
A mélange of blue and golden solid and floral print bridesmaid dresses flowed flawlessly with the abundant garden-inspired bouquets and displays. The floral design team from Festoon Charleston wowed with organic blooms in soft summertime shades of pale yellow, peach, baby blue and blush. Charleston wedding planners with Intrigue Events orchestrated a day doused in thoughtful touches that included a plein air artist, edible florals floating on cocktails and woven hand fans for added July Charleston wedding comfort.
Revered Charleston wedding photographer Dana Cubbage delivered unforgettable imagery through aerial shots and artistic angles, capturing striking architectural detail in the regal white mansion columns, tiled terrace and the signature pastel yellow walls. Catering by the Patrick Properties Hospitality Group kicked off cocktail hour with a decorative wall of refreshing Aperol spritz, inviting guests to take a sip and find their table.
Dinner flowed from the estate’s formal dining rooms and parlors embraced by period antiques and artwork and out onto the covered terrace. Charleston wedding rentals and décor by Snyder, Ooh! Events and Stradley Davidson curated chic summer place settings in rich rattan alongside gold flatware, personalized guest menus, fresh lemons and lavish garden blooms. An impressive three-tier wedding cake, artfully painted in summery blossoms, and a high-energy dance floor elevated by cowboy hats and glowing props capped the evening.
