Antique Pastoral Romance at Arcadia at Edgewood
Erin and Josh’s celebration at Arcadia at Edgewood embraced Madison County’s flourishing late spring beauty. A casual, intimate ceremony came together on the legendary Charlottesville wedding venue’s rich green lawn, the bride drawing tears from guests as she walked from the majestic 1853 brick manor home, past manicured hedges and stately white columns to the breathtaking peach, canary, pink and blush floral installation reaching towards a baby blue sky.
Soft pearl pink bridesmaids dresses and handsome grey suits against rolling hillsides and endless trees set a romantic pastoral tone. Planners from Events by Nikki seamlessly eased the day from the bridal suite and groom's quarters to a touching first look between the bride and the adorable young best man before guiding guests to the front lawn ceremony and into the charming 1800s-era barn for dinner and dancing. Comfortable lounge spaces in watermelon velvet, a lace-cloaked dessert table, a pink rotary phone guestbook and classic yard games added thoughtful touches to the celebration.
Photographers with Victoria Elaine Photography played with the expansive landscape, designing family portrait, bridal party and newlywed shoots around the property’s wooded lanes, rolling green pastures, beautiful willow trees and a striking purple sunset. Caterers with Spoon & Spindle served a delicious farm meal and the couple shared laughs and embraces during a cake cutting (and cupcake smashing) and lots of dance floor and vintage camper photo booth play.
