A Sunny Orchard June Soiree at Castle Hill Cider
Becca and Will’s sun-soaked June wedding at Castle Hill Cider was a gorgeous display of natural pastoral beauty and timeless ivory elegance. The renowned Charlottesville wedding venue wore summer brilliance in fragrant apple orchards, pristine white fencing and historic gardens and linden groves set on 600 sprawling acres. The bride carried romantic ivory roses and beamed in a sophisticated modern wedding gown, classic flowing veil and butterfly jeweled heels.
Charlottesville wedding planner Lane Stewart Events organized the early summer celebration around an outdoor ceremony under the vibrant green orchard’s shade, portraits backed by the rolling Virginia countryside, a cocktail hour by the lake and dining and dancing in the iconic white cider barn. A towering champagne flute wall served as guest escort cards and sweet photos of family weddings graced the guest book table, along with personalized drink koozies and a loving memory candle memorializing those who had passed on.
Photographers with Heather Dodge Photography never missed a moment, documenting all of the father-daughter hugs and tears, the bride’s private letter reading, bridesmaids’ giddy first glance at the bride in her dress and the wedding party’s humorous reception entrance antics.
The Posey Detail floral design team built a fully bloomed ivory, pink and white ceremony archway and stunning centerpieces while décor and rentals by MS Events set wooden farm tables in mod gold-trimmed plates, crisp white linens and gold flatware. Spherical candles dangling from elaborate greenery installations set a dreamy countryside garden aesthetic. The Local Catering served a traditional farm-inspired meal of locally grown romaine Caesar salads, housemade rolls with salted butter, grilled New York strip, crab cakes, garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. A magnificent soaring five-tier white wedding cake with cascading ivory florals crowned the celebration.
